Abstract: Two stable operating modes, which were called “jet” and “bell” mode, were investigated for Hall thruster with power 1.5 kW. Performances (thrust, thrust specific impulse) in two modes were investigated. The study were conducted for discharge voltage 300–800 V and gas flow rate from 1.5 to 3.0 mg/s. This result is compared with the previous study, which carried out on geometrically similar but bigger Hall thruster model.

Keywords: electrojet thrusters, Hall thrusters, efficiency parameters, discharge burning stability, discharge burning modes.
