The effect of pulsed vacuum-arc discharge on the surface of elements of a discharger

Abstract: Regularities of erosion and transport of the material of discharger elements have been studied by the methods of surface structure visualization and X-ray fluorescence elemental microanalysis. Microrelief and oxide film on the surface of cathode material are found to affect the development of arc discharge in a commutator.
