Abstract:
Vanadium compounds – V$_2$O$_5$ and NH$_4$VO$_3$ – are used as a template to obtain porous silica. Both submicron spherical microporous SiO$_2$ particles and hybrid core-microporous shell particles are obtained in a single technological cycle. Selective etching of the core material ($\alpha$-V$_2$O$_5$) results in obtaining SiO$_2$ particles with a hollow core.
