High-current field emission nanostructure with a ribbon beam

Abstract: The issues of the achievability of high current densities of the order 10$^{10}$–10$^{12}$ A/m$^2$ and the integral current of a ribbon electron beam of the order 1–10 A for vacuum electronic devices are considered. A resonant tunneling nanostructure and an electron gun design based on it are proposed.
