Abstract:
The studies of characteristics of a surface discharge on the ferroelectric ceramics BaTiO$_3$ are presented. The emission spectrum of the discharge was studied using the optical emission spectroscopy method in the residual gas pressure range of 10$^{-5}$–10$^{-3}$ Torr. The spectrum consisted of lines identified with neutral atoms and ions of elements (Ti, Ba, O) presented in the ferroelectric and residual atmosphere (N). The influence of the discharge current and the pressure of residual atmosphere on the intensity of spectrum lines have been determined.
