Analysis of field emission projector patterns and issues of correct determination of local current characteristics of a multi-tip cathode

Abstract: A method for analyzing the structure of light responses in the glow patterns of a field projector has been developed. An algorithm for identifying areas corresponding to individual emission sites has been proposed. A theory of the occurrence of the halo effect, associated with the elastic rebound of electrons from the surface of the phosphor, has been confirmed.
