Runaway electron beam initiated by capacitive discharge plasma at air pressure of 0.4 and 1 torr

Abstract: During the formation of plasma diffuse jets initiated by the plasma of a capacitive discharge in low-pressure air, a runaway electron beam (REB) was registered using a collector. It was found that the REB is ahead of the plasma diffuse jet front. It was shown that the amplitude of the REB current in a pulse-periodic mode increases with increasing pulse repetition frequency.
