Abstract:
The paper presents a study of the field emission properties of a new nanocomposite material based on a mixture of carbon nanotubes and an organic substance: the amino acid valine. On the surface of a thin layer of the composite covering an electrically conductive metal cathode, a developed network of active electron emission centers was experimentally revealed. In addition to providing field emission properties of the composite surface, valine acted as a binder that ensured high adhesion and strength of the nanocomposite coating.
