Abstract:
The energy characteristics of a copper vapor laser pumped by a Marx generator have been studied. It has been shown that the Marx generator allows for a multiple increase in the upper limit of stable operation of thyratrons, proportional to the number of thyratrons used (for two thyratrons, up to a reverse voltage on the thyratron anodes of approximately 8–10 kV). Consequently, it ensures pumping parameters for the active medium that cannot be achieved with a single thyratron.
