Abstract: The dynamics of evaporation from the surface of a liquid layer under the action of a gas flow has been studied. Correlation dependences of the rate of liquid evaporation on the gas flow rate and temperature for the ethanol-air system have been obtained and compared to other published experimental data. It is established that, for the two-phase systems studied, the evaporation rate growth with increasing temperature exhibits an almost identical character independently of the thermal properties of particular liquids and gases. In contrast, the character of the evaporation rate growth with increasing gas flow velocity significantly depends on these properties.
