Abstract:
The results of a comparative analysis of the morphology, structural and phase composition, and scintillation characteristics of ZnO tetrapods obtained by carbothermal and gas-phase synthesis are presented. In gas-phase synthesis, along with classical tetrapods, petal-type structures are formed, the crystal quality increases, and the scintillation characteristics of ZnO structures improve. Due to the short illumination time, the instantaneous intensity of the fast ultraviolet component with a decay time of 0.7–1.0 ns is two orders of magnitude higher than the intensity of the slow one.
