Abstract:
We present several examples of the use of the method of similar operators in spectral analysis of various first order differential operators with periodic boundary conditions. In particular, we consider perturbations in the form of an integral operator with a square summable kernel, a Riemann-Liouville fractional integral, and an operator with a tri-diagonal infinite matrix.
