Nonlinear coupled model of surface treatment by a particle beam taking into account the formation of a new phase

Abstract: A model of the initial stage of surface treatment of a material by a particle beam is presented. The model takes into account the mutual influence of elastic, thermal, and diffusion waves, as well as the formation of a new phase in the surface layer of the substrate. Examples of problem solution for different combinations of model parameters are shown; the dynamics of process development under the action of two consecutive pulses is illustrated. Possible partial variants of the model are given.
