Abstract: Inverse problems of design of special shells that serve for concentrating heat fluxes are considered. With the use of an optimization method and geometric discretization, these problems are reduced to finite-dimensional extreme problems, where the thermal conductivity coefficients of the shell sectors play the role of control parameters. The chosen set of control parameters ensures obtaining thermal concentrators, which can be simply implemented and provide high efficiency in the class of devices under consideration.

Keywords: heat flux concentrators, design problems, numerical optimization.
