Abstract: An equation was obtained for the motion of an underwater landslide over an uneven bottom slope under the action of gravity, buoyancy, friction, and water drag. Numerical modeling of the surface waves generated by landslide motion over an uneven bottom was performed using the nonlinear shallow water model. The effect of the landslide size, the friction coefficient, and other parameters on the maximum runup of landslide-generated waves on the shore with a parabolic shape of the bottom was studied.

Keywords: underwater landslide, uneven bottom, surface waves, shallow water equations, numerical simulation, finite-difference scheme, adaptive grid, calculations, runup on the shore.
