Numerical simulation of the development of perturbations induced by a periodic heat source in a supersonic boundary layer

Abstract: Direct numerical simulation of interaction between a laminar boundary layer and a shock wave at a Mach number of 1.45 is performed. The influence of a periodic thermal source on the nature of this interaction is described.
