Nonequilibrium molecular radiation behind the front of a strong shock wave in the CO$_2$–N$_2$–O$_2$ mixture

Abstract: Models of population of some radiating electron-vibrational states of CO, CN, and C$_2$ molecules are developed. The characteristics of radiation in a chemically nonequilibrium flow behind the front of a strong shock wave in a mixture of gases constituting the Martian atmosphere are calculated. The numerical data are compared with experimental results.
