Description of the creep and failure of beams in bending and shafts in torsion by equations with a scalar damage parameter

Abstract: Results of the theoretical and experimental investigations of beam bending by a constant moment and torsion of continuous shafts with a constant rate of the torsion angle are given. It is shown that the kinetic equations of creep and damage with a scalar parameter can be applied to the description of deformation in the presence of nonuniform stresses.
