Abstract: A boundary-value problem for a three-dimensional Helmholtz equation in a region shaped as a rectangular wedge of infinite extent is under consideration. An exact solution to this boundary-value problem is constructed in the form of a packed block element necessary for investigating more complex and even mixed problems for block structures. The conjugation of packed blocks into a block structure is carried out by constructing quotient topologies of the topological spaces of blocks, and the equivalence relations are interblock boundary conditions.

Keywords: block element method, boundary-value problem, automorphism, pseudo-differential equations, wedge-shaped region.
