Abstract: This paper studies the stability of steady convective flow in an inclined plane liquid layer bounded by ideally thermally conductive solid planes in the presence of a homogeneous longitudinal temperature gradient under stable stratification when the layer is inclined so that the temperature in its lower part is smaller than in the upper part.

Keywords: advective flow, inclined layer, longitudinal temperature gradient, instability, stable stratification.
