Abstract:
Statistical properties of estimates of the bispectral density of a stationary stochastic process are investigated. It is shown that the mean square of the modulus of the bispectral density estimation error depends significantly on the degree of smoothness of its real and imaginary parts. A method of estimating the bispectral density when there are systematic gaps in observations is also indicated.
