Laboratory information systems and laboratory instruments integration problems

New technologies, changing requirements, and a new awareness of the value of instrument-to-LIMS interfacing, make this a very important field for research and practical application. Existing problems and questions are considered in the article. Current trends are being reviewed, suggestions on development are given.
