Abstract:
The paper suggests a notation for representing the semantics of contextual dates — cases of indirect and elliptical reference to single calendar intervals. Contextual dates are part of a large number of so-called underspecified temporal expressions. The representation is based on a linguistic model of calendar time. The metalanguage of the linguistic model is used to represent the semantic meaning of contextual dates' structural components that contain indexicals, taking into account the type of indexical, the type of component and its position in the date. Various types of ellipsis in contextual dates as well as the ways of reconstructing the omitted information are discussed. (In Russian).
