Abstract: A class of problems of control improvement for which transformable explicetly to a problem of lesser order with bounded control (derived problem) is described. This allows one to find analytically or through iterations effective initial approximation for the original improvement problem. A numerical algorithm based on the general Krotov method of global improvement is proposed. Its application to controllable quantum systems with examples is considered.

Key words and phrases: optimal control, control improvement.
