Abstract:
The paper analyzes the current state of various level autiomation systems in power engineering and emphasizes negative trends in their evolution in recent years. It describes the experience of the Institute of Control Sciences in applying process automation systems at various lavels of power enterprices. New theoretical results concerning the promising process control techniques are presented. Some proposals on creating a new generation instrumental system aimed at dramatical increase of process automation level and thus the improvement of the country's power economy are formulated.
