Characteristics of laser glasses (review)

A systematic review is given of the published information on the properties of laser glasses and some characteristics of neodymium glasses of Soviet origin are repoted. The physicochemical, spectral, luminescence, and stimulated emission characteristics of neodymiumactivated laser glasses made in the USSR and foreign firms are reviewed.
