Diffraction electrooptic light deflector

A study is made of a multistage electrooptic deflector of the blazed grating type. It is shown that a multistage system has the advantage of a high resolution for relatively low control voltages. The results are reported of an experimental investigation of a two-stage $LiNbO_3$ crystal deflector.
