Integrated-optics strip modulators made of $LiNbO_3$

An interference modulator utilizing strip waveguides in an $LiNbO_3$ crystal was developed and investigated. The amplitude characteristics were studied and an analysis was made of the frequency characteristics. It was found experimentally that this modulator was not critically affected by temperature variations.
