Abstract:
A description and justification is given of a technique for measuring the spectral dependences of the absolute quantum yields of iodine atoms in the f$J({}^2P_{1/2})$ and $J({}^2P_{3/2})$ states in photolysis of $RJ$ organic iodides. Data are presented and interpreted for $RJ=CF_3J, C_2F_5J, CF_3CFJCF_3, C_3F_7J, CF_3OCF_2CF_2J$. The proposed model is checked by means of calculations of the electron density distribution in $RJ$.
