Abstract:
An investigation was made of the emission spectra (100–200 Å) of hydrogen-like ions in a laser plasma. The relative intensities were determined for the density-sensitive spectral lines resulting from transitions between the 2s22p4, 2s2p5, and 2p6 configurations. A theoretical calculation was made of the populations of the terms of these configurations. The results were used to determine the profile of the electron density of a laser plasma.
