Modulation method of measuring the spatial characteristics of laser radiation

A theory is developed of a modulation method of measuring the spatial characteristics of laser radiation with an arbitrary distribution function and modulation parameters. The modulation parameters for measurement of various laser beam characteristics are optimized. The results of the experimental measurements show good agreement with the theoretical conclusions.
