Stimulated light scattering in a thermodynamically nonequilibrium medium with excitation of collective motion due to optically initiated chemical reactions
Abstract:
It is found that a new type of stimulated light scattering by ultrasonic vibrations may occur in the course of optically induced exothermic reactions in thermodynamically nonequilibrium media. These vibrations are excited as a result of inhomogeneous heat release caused by an inhomogeneous optical intensity distribution. An analysis is made of the main characteristics of this type of scattering and estimates are made of the gain of the scattered light wave.
