Carbon dioxide gasdynamic laser utilizing combustion $C_2H_2-CO-N_2O-N_2$ mixtures

Abstract: Measurements were made of the gain $K_0$ of a $CO_2$ gasdynamic laser utilizing the combustion products of $C_2H_2-pCO-(5+n)N_2O-mN_2$ mixtures. The gain was $K_0\approx1$m${}^{-1}$ at $T_0\approx1600-2000K$. It was found that fuel combinations of the $C_2H_2-3N_2O-mN_2$ type could be used in gasdynamic lasers with selective excitation of the working gas.
