Amplification of an electromagnetic wave by a beam of electrons at an interface between two media

Abstract: An analysis is made of the interaction of an electron beam with monochromatic electromagnetic radiation at the interface between two media. The amplification mechanism is found. It is shown that beams with a wide scatter of angles and energies can be used.
