Radiation detectors based on the Nernst–Ettingshausen effect

Abstract: A study is made of the characteristics of thermal detectors of pulsed radiation whose principle of operation is based on the Nernst–Ettingshausen effect in metals. These detectors are shown to be efficient for pulses of duration shorter than 10–6 sec, at power densities up to 108 W/cm2.
