Abstract:
The optical strength of monolayer and multilayer coatings made of metal oxides and magnesium fluoride was investigated for the first time at the wavelength of 249 nm. It was found that coating systems (HfO2/MgF2)m·HfO2/(λ /2)MgF2 (m is the number of layer pairs) had a reflection coefficient of ~96% and an optical strength of ~200 MW/cm2.
