Abstract:
Optogalvanic resonances were observed in argon on transmission of pulse-periodic radiation from a dye laser which was pumped optically by a miniature VT1-0 neon gas-discharge flashlamp where neon was replaced with argon at a low pressure. Resonances at 100 argon transitions, observed in the spectral range 425–700 nm, could be used for monitoring the wavelength of radiation emitted by tunable lasers.
