Abstract:
A cw dye laser capable of generating both single- and double-frequency radiation with a high output power (P ≈ 1W) was made and investigated. A simple system for active stabilization of the laser, was based on an external passive Fabry-Perot etalon with a drift in the lasing frequency of less than 3 MHz/h. Electronic discrete-continuous tuning in a range of 200 GHz was provided by using galvanometers to rotate intracavity Fabry–Perot etalons.
