Conversion of CO2 laser radiation to far infrared

Abstract: A source of for infrared and millimeter radiation tunable within the 100–5000 μ, (100–2 cm–1) range was constructed on the basis of phase-matched mixing of radiations of two pulse CO2 lasers in a GaAs crystal at room temperature. The long-wavelength radiation power reached 100 mW.
