Quenching of excited iodine atoms I(5²P_1/2) by molecules with C–I bonds

Abstract: The transition at λ =206.2 nm was analyzed by atomic absorption spectroscopy and the constants representing the quenching of I(5²P_1/2) by ten molecules with the C–I bonds were determined.
