Determination of the temperature dependence of the linear expansion coefficient and of the temperature coefficient of the refractive index of laser glasses
Abstract:
A description is given of the method and results are reported of the measurements of the temperature dependences of the linear expansion coefficient, temperature coefficient of the refractive index, and thermooptic constant of laser glasses and garnets (at λ = 0.63 and 1.15 μ). The results of measurements are converted to λ = 1.06 μ. It is reported that in the range 10–100°C all the measured quantities vary linearly with temperature.
