Abstract:
A simplified model is used to analyze a cw chemical HF amplifier operating in the saturation regime. Simple expressions are obtained for the maximum power and chemical efficiency of this amplifier. Moderately complex equations are obtained for more rigorous numerical calculations in which allowance is made for the influence of reagent mixing in the isothermal approximation and also in the presence of thermal and gasdynamic effects. The possibility of increasing the efficiency of cw chemical HF amplifiers is considered.
