Abstract:
An investigation was made of the mechanism of photolysis of ethanol solutions of rhodamine 6G. It was found that the ethanol photolysis products (acetic and formic acids) affected the rate of photoconversion of the rhodamine 6G molecules. A method was suggested for prolonging the service life of active media in the form of ethanol solutions of rhodamine 6G, cresyl violet, and 7-acetoxy-3-phenylcoumarin.
