Abstract:
An investigation was made of the competition between two frequencies of radiation with orthogonal circular polarization. Each of these frequencies was generated as one of the σ components in the gain band. This competition produced narrow (much narrower than the homogeneous width of the gain band) resonances of the output radiation power. Isotopic shifts of the λ = 1.161 and 1.198 μ lines of Ne20 and Ne22 were determined.
