Abstract: A design of a single-frequency semiconductor laser with the emission wavelength 1.06 μm is proposed. This laser is coupled efficiently to an optical fibre in the core of which a distributed Bragg mirror is formed. The radiation power at the fibre output was found to be 10 mW when the laser drive current was 65 mA. The line half-width was estimated to be less than 1 mHz.
