Abstract:
An experimental investigation was made of the characteristics of a coaxial nitrogen laser emitting at 337.1 and 357.7 nm in nitrogen and air at pressures of 0.2–45 kPa under a discharge voltage of 250 kV. It was found that under superradiance conditions, the laser radiation pulse either had a bell-shaped profile or a complex profile with two time peaks. The pressure ranges where the laser pulse had two peaks were determined. Dependences of the peak power and the laser energy radiation on the active gas pressure were determined.
