Abstract:
An investigation was made of the influence of the Stark level shift on parametric bleaching of a medium. The oscillatory character of the establishment of parametric bleaching was recorded. It was found that the period, amplitude, and rate of damping of the oscillations were governed by the intensities of the pump waves and depended on the complex matrix elements of the transitions. Thus, a change in the character of the establishment of parametric bleaching from oscillatory to aperiodic was observed as the pump intensities decreased. The experimental dependences agreed with the theoretical calculations within the measurement error.
