Selectivity of coupled dispersive resonators

Abstract: A study is made of the laws governing interference effects in a system of dispersive resonators coupled by diffraction. An approximate analytic expression is obtained for the selectivity function. An analysis is made of the influence of the parameters of the system on the selectivity curve. It is shown that the strongest manifestation of interference effects is observed when the difference between the Q factors of cophasal and antiphasal types of resonator excitation is maximal.
