Abstract: The main problems in the synthesis of an object recognition system, based on the principles of operation of neuron networks, are considered. Advantages are demonstrated of a hierarchical structure of the recognition algorithm. The use of reading of the amplitude spectrum of signals as information tags is justified and a method is developed for determination of the dimensionality of the tag space. Methods are suggested for ensuring the stability of object recognition in the optical range. It is concluded that it should be possible to recognise perspectives of complex objects.
