Abstract:
The results are given of an investigation of some characteristics (spectral distribution of the sensitivity, dependences of the diffraction efficiency on the exposure and spatial frequency) of light-sensitive semiconductor-metal systems composed of Ag, As, S, and Se. A description is given of some properties of holographic diffraction gratings based on these systems deposited on plane and spherical substrates. It is shown that semiconductor-metal systems of this kind can be made into diffraction gratings characterized by a high resolution, small aberrations, and weak scattering of light.
